We all know they had the best oxtail soup…. but they also had the best hamburger steak. No disrespect to Liliha Bakery, You Hungry?, Spot’s Inn, Ethel’s Grill, etc., etc. My all-time favorite hamburger steak was from Washington Saimin on King Street. 🙂

Hey, you can still get your oxtail soup at the Kapiolani Coffee Shop. It’s in the City Square Shopping Center
at 1199 Dillingham Blvd. Right next to Sugoi’s

Also check out Asahi Grill. Same owner but smaller portion of the oxtail soup. Brian and I eat there often since it’s close to his office. not necessarily for the oxtail soup but they have great kim chee fired rice and great japanese bento choices. A little more pricey than the normal take out place. See the Star Bulletin review on it below.
